Calling all those working within the construction industry/built environment!
Future Leap in collaboration with YTKO are offering a free tour of their award-winning carbon neutral sustainable business hub on Gloucester Road, Bristol.
As part of the Skills Bootcamp in Future of Construction by YTKO, they will walk you through the design thinking and the green tech associated with the retrofit of Future Leap’s 1930s award-winning building. This will include live detail from Alec French Architects and Mitsubishi Electric, who were key to the refit of the building.
You will hear about how they have considered circular economy principles (even the carpets are made from discarded fishing nets removed from the ocean!), see cutting-edge tech, such as a state-of-the-art air source heat pump and a mechanical ventilation heat recovery system and witness the buzz of activity from one of the largest living walls in Bristol!
The tour will be followed by discussions with the architects and installers of the building, and Head of Partnerships and Sustainability at Future Leap, Katherine Piper.
Eligibility: This is particularly targeted towards construction/built environment professionals within Bristol, Bath, South Glos. and North Somerset (live or work) however we welcome anyone who has an interest in the subject.
