Pop down to your local People Planet Pint meetup to find more about what’s going on locally with sustainability and how you can get involved.
No pitches, powerpoints or panels. Just People, Planet, Pint/s.
Your local meetup is a great place to start your journey or continue learning, and meet diverse people to chat about life and how we can sustain it. Every job is a climate job, so come along and learn about how you can take action, as well as what is going on locally.
We welcome everyone, regardless of their experience or background. People Planet Pint is a space where everyone can feel comfortable learning about sustainability and sharing their ideas.
Afterall, creating a sustainable future requires connected communities. And what better way to bring everyone together than over a drink?
Prefer a Pastry to a Pint? Head along to ‘People Planet Pastry’! Equally relaxed and welcoming, they run during the day and offer an informal way to learn about what is going on locally in sustainability.

Fiona Shaw runs publishing and communications agency Wordscape, which publishes good business magazine Ethos. She works with businesses to tell their stories, articulate their purpose and increase their impact – through books, magazines, words and film. She recently finished a Masters in responsible business management at Berlin’s Steinbeis University and sits on the board of several social businesses in Liverpool.
Fiona chairs Baltic Triangle Area CIC, which supports the community of businesses, residents and visitors to the area, and is co-hosting this People, Planet, Pint.
Louisa Burman is one half of Hawthorne & Burman Impact Consulting who support purpose-driven businesses to better understand, improve and report their impact. They typically do this by either taking a bespoke approach to develop and implement a strategy which maximises impact creation or by supporting businesses to apply existing frameworks – such as B Corp, the UN Sustainable Development Goals and GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) – but sometimes a bit of both work well!
Louisa is also the founder of Liverpool SOUP, a local micro-funding event, and regularly volunteers with Liverpool Tool Library.
Greg Macoy co-founded Matchstick Creative, a purpose-driven creative agency in Liverpool, with a mission to create a more equal world through well-told stories and shared experiences. Matchstick Creative is now a certified B Corp company and takes an active role in progressing the conversation around what good, ethical business can be across the Liverpool City Region and beyond. Greg is also a co-founder of Firestarters, a community of cross-sector changemakers running events and workshops to develop shared experiences, diverse perspectives, and drive cross-sector action.
Greg co-chairs B Local Liverpool, a community for B Corp organisations across the Liverpool City Region and is co-hosting this People, Planet, Pint with Fiona and Louisa.
