If you’re interested or curious about sustainability, come along to the People, Planet, Pastry event to meet like-minded business owners who are taking action on sustainability. Learn about what is going on locally, share insights on how to overcome barriers and make new friends!
This relaxed and informal event brings people together to learn more about sustainability and take action.
The sister event, People, Planet, Pint, brings people together to learn more and chat about climate, while our “Pastry” series is focused on empowering small businesses with the action they can take and where to start with sustainability.
While we will mostly be discussing businesses, this is an open event where anyone is welcome, so if you’re curious about what’s going on, come on down!
Your Volunteer Host
Giles, from Giles Metcalfe Digital, is an Ethical Digital Marketer and Website Sustainability Consultant.
As a thoroughly decent Digital Marketer, he specialises in helping you sell your products and services via Google Ads PPC and SEO in a good way (ie. ethically)
As a Sustainability Practitioner, he loves raising awareness of and reducing carbon emissions, one website at a time, to help your business or organisation become leaner, cleaner and greener
Very much into ethical business, he’s also an Ambassador for the Good Business Charter (GBC), and a Member of the Association of Sustainability Practitioners (ASP) and the Organisation for Responsible Businesses (ORB) too.
Ahead of the Eden Project Morecambe coming to Morecambe and Morecambe Bay, Giles is keen to connect sustainability-focused, sustainability-friendly or sustainability-curious individuals, businesses and organisations in Morecambe, Lancaster, Carnforth and Kendal with each other to share knowledge and experience and explore opportunities to work together or collaborate in other ways.
