About this event
Come together with your colleagues from across the labour movement to Worker-Climate Conference. We will set out a plan for just a transition across industries, to develop your demands, and to build a network of climate organising within and between trade unions.
Sessions will include:
- Propositional worker-climate demands in the 21st century: Exploring key propositional demands which should be on a future cross-union climate bargaining agenda.
- Evaluation of worker-climate organising in 2020/21: A chance to share and reflect upon participants’ organising in the last two years.
- Just transition: Covering issues within specific sectors, public, private, and high-carbon industry, and how to deliver a just transition for workers while decarbonising the economy.
- Local organising: Discussion of local worker-climate organising and working constructively with local unions and other climate groups.
- Models of organising in UK unions: Considering the various models of organising in UK unions and the conditions in which they can be effective.
