Food security in the UK & Nature Friendly Farming: a Farmer’s Perspective

Part two of our deliberations on Food Security and will take us away to the award-winning farm of Peter Hall near Marden.

Peter will ‘walk and talk’ us around his farm and chat through some of the successes and challenges of farming in the UK, considering the ever-changing climate and biodiversity backdrop.

Afterwards he will be happy to chat further over a glass of something, such as a pint of local Marden Turners cider or whatever you enjoy.

Free event, but bring some cash along for drinks. Specific location sent once registered.

NB: This will be an outdoor event for the most part.

Erika is a retired neurological physiotherapist with a keen interest in all aspects of our changing planet. She is one of the founders of Bearsted CAN, and will be hosting together with Duncan, Sally, Jacqui and Jonathan, all coordinators of Bearsted CAN.

Bearsted CAN (Climate Action Network) is an inclusive, grassroots, nonaligned group looking at both personal and local ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to mitigate and adapt to the climate & ecological emergency. We acknowledge the universal effects of climate change, and this influences our local actions/daily living.
